Panicked Parent Press ("we", "us") publishes books and free online tools for parents, coaches and kids. This page explains what happens to your information when you use panickedparent.com, including the free coaching tools. You can reach us at hello@panickedparent.com.
The short version
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We only get your name and email if you send us a message, and we use them to reply.
- The coaching tools keep your plans and rosters on your own device. We cannot see them.
- This website is for adults. It is not directed at children.
Contact form and email
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, the topic and book you chose, and your message. We use them only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us. We keep a message until we have replied and, after that, for up to 12 months in case you write back, and then delete it.
Our legal basis (for readers in the EU and UK) is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies. We do not currently use website analytics. If we add analytics later, we will choose a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies and does not build profiles of visitors, and we will update this page first.
The free coaching tools
The practice timers, game clocks and team tools under Coach Guides save your plans, rosters, notes and game history in your own browser (local storage). That information stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it. When you choose Share Summary or Copy Summary, your device's own share menu or clipboard is used, and the text goes only where you send it. The tools can work offline after your first visit.
Email newsletters (if we start one)
We do not run a mailing list today. If we start one, or add an optional sign-up for the coaching tools, joining will be your choice, every email will include an unsubscribe link, and we will use an email service provider (currently expected to be MailerLite) to send them. We will update this page when that happens.
Our web host and links to other sites
Our website host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, pages requested and times, for security and troubleshooting. Our pages link to other sites, including Amazon. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we do not control them.
Children
Our books are written for kids and parents, but this website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK: you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it elsewhere. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
If you are in California: you can ask what personal information we have collected about you, ask us to delete or correct it, and you will not be treated differently for asking. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To use any of these rights, email hello@panickedparent.com. We may need to confirm it is you before we act.
Where information is processed
Our website and email are provided by third-party hosting and email services, and your message may be handled on servers in the United States or other countries. By writing to us you understand your message will be handled there.
Changes
If we change this page, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the home page.
